Chair of Care England and Hallmark Care Homes, British Asian Avnish Goyal has received a CBE for his services to social care and philanthropy in her Majesty’s birthday honour’s list.

Avnish Goyal CBE

Avnish Goyal was just 4 years old when he left India with his family as they embarked on a journey into the unknown. They came to the UK in 1970 with nothing but the clothes on their backs and the small amount of money his parents had worked hard to save. The whole family worked incredibly hard to create the future they all knew and deserved. From shops to houses, they slowly built up a successful portfolio of properties which enabled them to make smarter, larger investments and begin to live comfortably in their now familiar surroundings.

Today, Avnish is the founder of multi-award-winning care provider Hallmark Care Homes. He is  also the trustee of various charitable foundations including The Care Worker’s Charity and The Hemraj Goyal Foundation, while the teams at Hallmark Care Homes are empowered to uptake on a raft of charitable initiatives – raising thousands of pounds each year. Avnish received the national honour for his work during the pandemic with the largest representative body for social care, Care England, The Care Workers Charity and volunteer-led initiative, Championing Social Care.

“I’m deeply humbled to be recognised by her Majesty, the Queen in her special platinum jubilee year for my work in social care and philanthropy as we celebrate our own silver jubilee for Hallmark Care Homes.  I joined the sector because I wanted to make a difference and I knew I had something to offer”.
